Things have been busy here! I arrived to Donihue just in time for a baby shower of one of the sisters in the congregation. It was Hawaiian themed and so much fun with lots of games. The next day was a going away party for a couple who are leaving for their 1st assignment in the circuit work. They are assigned to the Arica area in the far north of Chile, right next to Peru.
The following weekend a group of about 40 from the Chilean coast by Vina del mar came to help work some of Donihue's rural territory. Their territory is extremely small and they work it very often so they especially enjoyed the change of scenery and were enthusiastic.
Last Wednesday Vanessa and I flew down to Coyhaique where Stephanie and Juan are living. Their congregation has 73 publishers and is very warm and welcoming. The views here are amazing! Reminds me of Yosemite. Because of that there are a lot of tourists who pass through, including English-speaking tourists, and several have even decided to move here. Today we went in service with an Australian family that is visiting and focused on trying to talk to those who speak English. We had some good conversations in the plaza down town and even found a couple of English speaking houses in the territory.Yesterday Steph spoke to a man from Massachusetts who had heard of witnesses but never talked to us. He likes to read so he took the truth tract and a mag.
So I'm happy to say that things have been going good. That's all for now :)
Hi again! So, for those of you who haven't heard I had to come home a little early for sickness in the family...how happy we'll all be when there's no more sickness and when all of Jehovah's promises will be fulfilled!

Here's the latest good news from here: another one of Andrea's studies, Pamela, had her 1st day in service this month. It was just in time for the CO visit so it was an extra encouraging week of activity.
We got a new roommate named Barbara who moved down to Puetezuelo from Santiago.
Then I got invited to the dedication of the San Pedro KH that Steph and I got to help work on last year. It was the 1st time I've been able to go to a dedication so it was so special to me and it was great to see the friends there that I hadn't seen for over a year. I also got to meet the Stephanie that so many people would confuse with Steph last year (since they have the same name, were both from the States, and dating Chilean bros). She gets married to her Chilean in February :)
The day before the dedication I got to go on a KH build in the area and see friends from the construction group that I hadn't seen for over a year either. I took lots of pictures...but would you believe I lost my camera?!? So here's pictures from the cameras of Corinne, Andrea, and a friend named Cristina.

So the last couple of weeks have been especially busy!
We went and stayed for a week with a young couple in the Vina del Mar english congregation named Daniela and Miguel. They took such good care of us! They had just had their 1 yr anniversary the weekend before we got there. After their big mtg we were able to visit some long time friends, the Latham's. We got to sit in on a special once at their house to celebrate that a young brother in their congregation had just gotten named as a ministerial servant. Another night we got to meet up w/Miriam who we worked w/on the construction team last yr. And we got to go to a picnic and BBQ that the english congregation had planned...very fun!
After that we headed back to Donihue for a couple of days. One day we went for a tour of the Chilean Bethel. 4 of those in our tour group were Bible studies so it was interesting to get to hear all their questions about how Bethel works...they were very impressed. Another day a group of the girls from the congregation came over for an evening of eating sweets and watching a movie.
Then it was off to Mendoza, Argentina to get our visas extended. We stayed w/a young couple who are both pioneering and just found out a month ago that they are pregnant, which will be a new assignment for them :) An argentinian friend named David set us up with them...we met him last yr when he was living in Puertezuelo. They were good hosts and showed us around Mendoza.
Now we are back in Puertezuelo, Chile for the week of the CO visit. The plan is to stay around here for basically the rest of the trip, so we won't be running around so much from here on out.
